I have been taking pictures for a long time, and the question, 'Can the feeling and experience of a particular place, special space be expressed within the framework of language?' tormented me.
However, that problem was solved 200 years ago by the German landscape painter Caspara David Friedrich. He answered, 'The specific space we meet, that is, the landscape is a mirror that reflects the breath of God.' To have the opportunity to stand in front of a landscape where you can feel the breath of God like this would not be easy for those who live ordinary lives.
So I decided. Let's do a work where you can feel the breath of God in the space between the landscape in the photo and the viewer. That's how I draw pictures with a camera and make them a reality through imagination.
